3/2 way solenoid valves

Solenoid valves of this switching function have 3 connections (valve inlet, valve outlet, venting or return). The magnetic core (armature) is equipped with two density elements, one pressure connection each being closed and two connections being connected.

Solenoid valve – main flow direction closed:

The body nozzle is unblocked and the potting nozzle (venting, return) is connected to the second body connection (pressure outlet).

Solenoid valve energized – main flow direction open:

The potting nozzle is closed and the two body connections (pressure inlet and pressure outlet) are connected to one another.

3/2 way solenoid valves – direct controlled C, normally closed:

Solenoid valves with this circuit function have a valve input, a valve output and ventilation or backflow over three connections. The magnetic core has two sealing elements. At any one time one pressure port is closed while two ports are connected. The main flow direction is closed when the valve is not energised and open when it is. The de-energised body nozzle is closed whilst the potting nozzle for ventilation and backflow is connected with the pressure outlet as a second body port. When the valve is energised, the potting nozzle is closed whereas the two body ports with pressure inlet and outlet are then connected. Directly-controlled 3/2 way solenoid valves come in three different types: C (normally closed), D (normally open), E (multifunction) and F (distributor function).
